Reload Take two
Can’t help but tinker huh? That’s what you’re thinking, I can hear it from here. And to be fair, it’s always interesting having a play with a different way to build a website.
This iteration is using Jekyll for templating, and some heavily adapted bootstrap templates. It results in a completly static site, with no serverside and thus no maintenance required at all!
What was wrong with the old wordpress site I hear you ask. Well, nothing really. Except the fact that I got sick of keeping it patched and updated. This is simpler, and as I can code it’s no harder to add content and maintain than wordpress is.
It’s taken a bit of time to export my old posts from the wordpress DB into markdown, but now that it’s done, It’ll be a lot more portable.
I may even blog a bit more often :-)
